Dan Shea, MPH

Dan Shea is the Program Director and Faculty of the Funeral Service Program at Cape Cod Community College in Bridgewater, MA.
He has been in professional education since 2001, working in both the continuing education and college settings. A Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer, Dan is a graduate of the New England Institute at Mount Ida College with a degree in Funeral Service and Bereavement. He also earned a Bachelor of Entrepreneurship Small Business Management from Quinnipiac University and a Master of Public Health from Benedictine University with graduate certificates in Epidemiology as well as Health Education and Promotion.
Dan’s article on defibrillator use in 2008 was adopted for use in a brief to senior staff of the U.S. Pentagon and incorporated into their defibrillator training. Having authored many trade articles in public health and safety as well as consulting for app and procedural development, he continues to consult and speak and hot topics. Book authorship includes Infection control for the funeral service provider (2015); Infection control for the dental professional (2008); Exposure control manual for medical labs (2013) & Exposure control manual for embalming preparation rooms (2015).
